Blé d'Ici

blé d'ici champ de blé

The Blé d’Ici initiative

What is the Blé d’Ici initiative? It's a label that certifies the origin of the wheat harvested by farmers, the quality of the flour produced by millers and the authenticity of the bread made by artisanal bakers.

Our commitment is based on essential values: ensuring fair remuneration for everyone involved and providing complete transparency regarding the provenance of raw ingredients and the methods of sustainable farming employed.

Our goal is to promote an ethical and responsible approach in the food industry while highlighting local craftsmanship. Adhering to the Blé d’Ici charter involves careful and rigorous effort that deserves recognition. That's why each partner farmer is fairly paid.

Dedicated farmers and bakers

We collaborate with local and regional partners at every level: from millers and farmers through to bakers. This helps promote a local economy and ensures the provenance and traceability of raw materials.

This collaborative approach allows us to bring together regional partners through the Blé d’Ici initiative, contributing to the production of quality bread.

Jean Muller, CEO des Moulins de Kleinbettingen

"The Produit du Terroir programme was introduced 20 years ago now to produce quality bread while preserving the environment. These issues are more relevant today than ever. Curious about the quality and origin of their purchases, today's consumers are well-informed, eager for natural products and aware of labelling, all of which has promoted the rise of the ‘engaged consumer’. Conscious of this reality, the teams at Moulins de Kleinbettingen are more committed than ever, working alongside you, to championing a high-quality, local and sustainable supply chain. To be a part of the Blé d’Ici initiative, we invite you to contact your sales representative to raise awareness among your customers using appropriate communication media."
